Hi there Alan. I've worked with a product called EPiServer from http://www.episerver.com/, a swedish company a couple of times and I like it a lot. I'm normally not an "I_like_closed_source_M$_based_products" kind of guy but this is good. This is an extremly modern & feature-rich CMS system built completley in .NET Amongst lot's of different things it offers, one is the ability to import users directly from windows, log them in automatically & then apply the permissionroles inside the cms on them. I'm 99% sure that's what you need. In addition to this it has an extremly powerful administration gui that you really need to see to believe... What you can think of, you can do... As of today I believe they have broken the 1000 installations landmark mainly here in scandinavia. The best is that it sells for around $10-15.000 (converted from swedish prices so don't hold me to it) and you don't have to put down 100'ds of hours to build the site on top of it. It comes with a demo-site that is so complete that from a functionality point of view you could have it up and running as soon as you've added your colors and images to it. Also, the pagetemplates are from version 4.30 accessability approved as well. And, no, I don't work for them, I don't even get a commission ;) I just like the product. That way we can use the Integrated windows authentication. I have had a very difficult time finding a CMS that will do this. I have seen a few that allow active directory integration, but do not use the IIS directory security to implement it. I need to be able to use the IIS directory security even if it is just to pass it through to the built in security feature. It is the one thing I am required to find in a product, almost everything else is optional.
