Ugg.. There is no 'comply' in WAI, its a set of recommendations.. NOT
STANDARDS! There are no limitations to making a site creative and
accessible, usable is a totally different can of worms. Check the CSS Zen
Garden (http://www.csszengarden.com), creative flair up the wazoo.. And
accessible. 

The only thing that limits creative flair, functionality, or whatever when
it comes to accessibility is the person developing the web page.. Not the
recommendations.

Ok, religious debate I suppose.. Anyway for the original post, hands down
bible on accessibility.. he is an interesting fellow to boot.. Joe Clark's
Building Accessible Websites. For an added touch of sanity take a look at
Jeffery Zeldman's Designing with Web Standards - maybe before Clark's book.
