I stand corrected on the non-activeX version. I just got an email from them
that clarified that. They are working on a Mozilla version, but that, too,
will be installed client-side (not necessarily activeX, but not stand-alone
in the browser, either)

Their reasoning (my interpretation) is that it simply was next to impossible
to develop a tool based on any default Microsoft IE components. I guess I
have no reason to doubt that looking at the competition. ;o)

It looks like it got another update last week. It's open source and
cross-browser compatible. I just played a bit with their newest demo online
and it does a respectable job with the markup. Might be a very worthy
contender in a few months.
