Typically, I think that's the way it SHOULD be done. IAs should handle architecture, authors should handle content, etc. IMHO, a big failing of a lot of CMS systems is that they try too hard to be web site/page editors as well and, in doing so, fail to fully think about their content editing and management tools as much as they should. As for netdoc using physical 'paper' docs (ie, word, PDF, etc) as source files, that seems like a can of worms...the biggest problem is that I rarely see people writing Word documents with any concept of structure and using appropriate structured styles (heading styles, blockquote styles, proper lists, etc.) -Darrel
