I think we are similar, although the public side of things will be a 
single site delivering content for multiple domains - they are all 
dynamic pages.

Out of interest, how do you handle images, pdfs, and other downloadable 
objects?

We need to be able to access them from both sites and to date I have 
been using shared folders?
