You hit a cord or a spot.

Try Zope/Plone, you will re-define MA-lle-ABLE.

After two decades of large software developments. I think of this as a
sports of picking a winner or stallion. Good bones and teeth.

Just the other day, we created WCMS with two varying workflows without
programming;

1. collaborative and communal publishing
2. controlled and hiearchical stages - check-in/check-out, version and
the whole nine-yard.

We did a demo at a prominent university in the east coast. Pitchnig
You-friendly not just user friendly showing role-based user interfaces
and skin -

A case in history.

I would have to say, this is what we have been seeing in Zope starting from half-baked PTK, CMF, and other "better" interfaces leading up to PLONE.

I am amazed that we have been fortunate to see Zope pulled off this far more than other packages. I would have to claim Zope/Plone to be the most sophisticated and advanced platform for WCMS.

Try it and be amazed. If you have not tried it lately, it is the right time.

If anyone is in New York, there is SIG at NYSIA on the 24th of May. You are welcome to speak to panelists at IBM building.

We are planning powerful calendaring/resource planning module on Plone. I am looking for non-profits to share the cost of distributed calendaring/scheduling. If you are interested, let me know.

All the best

My standard disclaimers; I worked with other WCMS, proprietary and
open-source. Worked at a consortium for 140 newspaper companies
developing C(D)MS. Currently work at CMS consulting company working with
various open-source strategies.
