Or you may consider feeding a Flash presentation (Flash template) with XML
content.

The example below uses Flash templates fed by XML files that our mini-app
generates.  No technical knowledge is required.  The resulting SWF
presentation can be placed online or viewed locally.  One of the major
benefits is the small file size of a SWF compared to an equivalent PPT
presentation.

agreed. apache forrest and apache lenya would be two candidates to do
this, with forrest being more bare-bones multiformat publishing, and
lenya being a more complete, but also more difficult to learn, solution.
