CMS for training, docs and help file outputs

Hello CMS members:
 
Can anyone recommend a good CMS that I can use to maintain many different
types of technical documents? The goal is to maintain the content in small
chunks/articles and be able to re-use it across manuals, training materials,
a help file (javahelp), brochures etc.
 
AuthorIT seems like a candidate, but I've heard mixed reviews.
 
Any help or tips is appreciated.
