publishing email addresses

Hi,

What's the latest in the field of email obfuscation to prevent addresses 
from being harvested by spammers?  Do people still do this or everyone has 
just given up?  I'm setting up a CMS for our department and has convinced 
the management to use an online Contact Us form instead of direct email 
links (which they insisted on) until I figure out how to configure the CMS 
to do automatic obfuscation. But then I started wondering if I should even 
bother.  What are your thoughts?
