Storing selected Data into Session for later use

Hi there,

I have a user which has a connection to one or more different "Companies" 
and I would like to add somthing like a selectbox where the User can choose 
for which Company he want to edit or add data.
The companyID should be stored somewhere in the session so that I can read 
it out to every time and then use it.

How can I do that? I only find form examples which lead to objects not to 
store data a session or other scope.
Is that the correct way of storing such local data or is there a cooler way 
in FarCry?

Thanks very much for your help and perhaps a small example how to handle 
that?
