So a little update.... My host have tested the rewrite and this rewrite is 
going fine:

##### APACHE MOD_REWRITE SYNTAX
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^testpage\.html$  welcome.html

When testing this rewrite myself, code from wiki:

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(^/farcry|^/webtop|^/flex2gateway|^/
flashservices|^/CFIDE)($|/)
RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9\/\-\%:\[\]\{\}\|\;\<\>\?\,\*\!\@\#\$\ 
\(\)\^_`~]*)$ /index.cfm?furl=$1 [L,PT,QSA]

It's not working although I have various pages set with fu's.
Also I notice that the full domain www.mytestsite.com is giving a "page not 
found".

I am using a domain that is locally set in my windows hosts file.

Any idea's?
