The current FarCry CMS plugin should work with the new SHINY core. So you
might try a core upgrade and test the water without going to the plugin.

We've also overhauled the ./farcrycms plugin as a separate project.  It's
been a little while since the CMS plugin has been updated. We've been a bit
brutal with ripping out what we think is redundant; for example, dmLink is
gone.

I think its a whole lot better -- just saying you might want to dip a toe
in the water and see whats changed before attempting an upgrade :)
