General question

Dear friends,
We want to start building a multilanguage web site for tv channel using
farcry, and this is our first experience with farcry. Questions are:
1. What are the steps to create it (meaning general guidlines)?
2. Any documents describing this process?

Problem is that we are not clear what steps we need to perform. We were
able to build custom types which was required, also we got an idea how
to add some custom code. But how put this into one piece?
In our case having this all for tv channel we got question what we have
to do first: Build genres and have programs under that and then have
episodes under programs:
Genre
-Program
--Episode
using quick tree builder.
What we have to do after this?
Please help understand or if there is any document describing this
process please point to it.
