lol - everyone goes through that... Even though I've been doing CF
since ummm... 1997 I'm still overcome with waves of newbie-ness every
once in a while....

Ah - well - you don't actually install farcry inside your web root.
You extract the files from the installer. Inside that folder you
create a folder for your project and then inside your projects folder
you create a folder called "www" (note: its not wwwroot) which your
web server then points at.

Have you tried the installation pdf from the downloads page on the
farcry cms site. (http://www.farcrycms.org/go/downloads) Its very easy
to follow, depending on your preference, probably easier to follow
than a video (no offense intended Jeff).

So I take it that this is on your local PC? Get yourself a copy of
Apache installed (2.0.58) and learn about virtual named hosts. Makes
life so much easier when you're developing multiple sites on a local
machine.

In the mean time, extract the content of the farcry milestone zip into
a clean folder away from your webroot, create your project and www
folder in the farcry folder and just change the default directory in
the IIS to point to the www folder under your farcry project folder.

Probably totally unrelated, but make sure that your project name
starts with a letter.

Hope that helps a little
