Could you display a simple "Hello World" HTML page from under that domain? > is there any possibility to use different farcry installations on my > server for several sites? > You don't need multiple installations of farcry. You just create multiple projects and point sites in IIS at the web folder in each project. You have one installation of the farcry_core and fourq files. If you're running on CFMX Std. then all the CF mappings are already in place. If you're running CFMX Ent with multiple instances, then you need to create new mappings in CF to the folder that these common files are stored in. Follow the instructions for creating a new project and thats about it really.
