I agree.  Most people I talk to seem to prefer *not* having files/images
managed from the tree (like FarCry used to do in 2.3 and below).  What I was
referring to was to have the same ability to modify (edit) files from dmHTML
just like we currently have the ability to create files/images at the moment
(a little redundancy never hurts).

Yes this helps.  I had no idea (I was having them approve them in the media
library as well).
