Re: farcry installation requirements

Geoff,
Is BlueDragon compability a long-term goal of the FarCry project? If so, I
can go ahead and submit bugs/tasks and watch them, and maybe assist in
solving them. Most of the time (like now) the FarCry bugtracker seems down
though... :(

I have played a bit with BD.Net 6.2.1 and BD Server 7 beta (using BD bws)
now, and a fresh install of FarCry 3.0.1 (installed using CFMX 6.1)

For installation, FarCry now relies on the CFMX-only service factory, so it
is not possible to install it.

The cfproperty problem that you describe - I think that has been fixed since
BlueDragon 6.2.1.

I see another problem with BD 7b2 and FC 3.0.1 - it fails on the call of
"java.util.Locale" - strangely enough it fails with a refence to
"net.sf.javainetlocator.InetAddressLocator" (which wasn't called - an
artefact?).

On BD.Net 6.2.1 if fails on something that seems like a BD bug, which I am
unable to isolate - in the parseProperty method, in the tableMetadata
object.
