BD compatability is certainly something we would like to achieve.
Apologies for the bug tracker -- we're away over the christmas break
and missed that outage.

BD support would only be relevant in the 4.0+ builds.  The service
factory call you refer to is just a datasource lookup.

I mention it only because that was the issue blocking any progress when
we originally looked at compatability.

Locale issues can be by passed in 4.0 relatively easily, as we've
temporarily removed localisation for 4.0 -- with a view to
reintroducing localisation for the webtop in 4.1.

I would move to the farcry-beta list to work with the developers there.
 The framework development for 4.0 is complete and the only thing we're
concentrating on now is getting the same CMS application up and running
under the new 4.0 bits.

Great to have another person looking at this issue :)
