add link to file in html page

I have been away from farcry for way too long, and have come back in at
version 4 and it is all different.

So I have found how to get an image onto the page from the media library -
very nice
But I would now like to know how I can put in a link on the page to a
document in the library.

I am not after the related documents that can have a template that displays
all the documents (with teaser) at the bottom of the page,
but links within the page itself.
