Actually, you'd need to switch it from createobject(). If they aren't going to relax the "no createobject" policy, switch hosts. Given that there are almost 900 calls to createobject in just the core alone, you'd have to spend a lot of time switching it over to cfinvoke. It wouldn't be a simple find and replace. For each object created by the createobject call, you'd need to search for that object further down the line and replace every .<something> call with another cfinvoke. You would also end up with a core that is not easily updated, and would involve similar work for each revision in the framework. This also doesn't take into account projects, plugins, webskins, etc. Gearhost, Hostnexus, HostMySite, all offer affordable shared hosting, and all of them have better support techs (just going by conversations at the houseoffusion) than GoDaddy.
