Greymatter in PHP + categories?

Hi,

I very much like the simplicity of GreyMatter (for those who don't know 
this one, it's an open-source blogging tool in Perl which doesn't require a 
database http://www.greymatter.com).... but since a lot more hosters 
provide PHP over Perl, and GM doesn't seem to provide a way to set a 
category to an entry (I use it for blogging and articles)... I was 
wondering if any one knew of an equivalent in PHP?

EasyCMS is nice, but the navigation bar must be updated manually everytime 
you add an item, pretty much defying the purpose of CMS.
