Well, actually, that was sort of my point. I think some CMS products, compared to contribute, really don't add anything *but* a database. In otherwords, the focus is still on web site maintenance/page editing and it just happens to use a database instead of flat files as the source. It's not really doing any robust content management tasks. The product we were using still required us to make a new template for almost every page we needed to produce. Even though it had the database there, we were still maintaining some semblance of a physical page structure using the template system. In hindsight, we weren't really benefiting a whole lot from the fancy 'cms database'. It wasn't a whole lot different than a set of flat files and some creative use of includes...at least for our particular set-up/needs. -Darrel -- http://cms-list.org/ please trim your posts.
