Content Management Workshop

I thought some of you might be interested in this workshop (especially since
a few people on the list are involved):

Asilomar Institute for Information Architecture (AIfIA) is holding a content
management workshop on February 27, 2004. The workshop's being held in
conjunction with the 2004 Information Architecture Summit, Feb. 27 - 28, in
Austin, Texas.

It's a full-day session that will focus on the link between information
architecture and content management. We've recruited several CM experts to
lead the workshop.  Attendees will leave with a well-grounded knowledge of
the connection between CM and IA. Some of the areas of focus include: 

* Effective content management practices: processes, roles, and workflow
* How IA components map to content management systems
* Information modeling and content structuring
* The role of metadata in content management 

And these are a few of the people who will be speaking at the workshop:

* Bob Boiko (author of the Content Management Bible),
* Ann Rockley (author of Enterprise Content Management),
* Tony Byrne (of CMSWatch), and
* Joseph Busch (from Taxonomy Strategies) 

The early-bird registration fee will be $500, and a portion of the fee will
help support the non-profit activities of AIfIA and ASIS&T (who hosts the IA
Summit).
