How to configure a LDAP filter

Hi,
 
I've read previous messages on the list concerning LDAP connection. I can now connect  to my directory LDAP. I obtain all the entries of the directory. I would wish to have only the entries with the following attribute department=xxxx
 
We do not use the groups in our directory LDAP.
 
This is why, I would like to add a LDAP filter in users.ldap.properties like this : 
 
users.ldap.search.filter = (&(objectClass=person)(department=xxxx))
 
Does the users.ldap.properties file allow filter?
Does Jahia envisage an accessible parameter for filterings?
 
Is the dynamic interrogation of directory LDAP possible in Jahia?
