Hi!

We would like to have this. Have you already prepared something? Are there
any pitfalls you already thought of?

Automatically creating a sub-set of pages in Jahia is still quite complex.
So we wanted to wait for the implementation of the XML import/export module
(Jahia 4.5) in order to be able to store some generic XML file to generate
some pre-defined pages, lists, etc... you may then call each time you create
a new user.

Meanwhile you may develop something more custom by forcing the use of a
modified version of the Registration/MySettings engine and which would
automatically add some pre-defined pages somehwehere on your site.

We would also like to add an "external URL" as homepage for a group.

The background to it: We have implemented a organization management, where
certain groups represent organizations and will have its own Jahia homepage.
Some organizations maybe already have an external homepage.

The endUser gets a navigation tree, where all organizations (stored as
groups) are displayed in a tree. Some of them have a Jahia homepage, some of
them an external homepage and some of them don't have a homepage yet.

Clearly it is quite a while (Jahia 3.0) that we developed this feature, so
perhaps you may want to take a look directly in the code to see what we did
at that time...

Cheers
Stéphane
