login and its errors

Hello guys,
I'm making a template based on home.jsp. I'm having no problems until the
login, where I have to enter with the user and password to login in the
system.
I have solved the problem using this form.

<form name="loginForm" method="POST"
action="/jahia/Jahia/engineName/login/pid/<%=jData.params().getPageID()%>">

and the same "<input" that exists on the javascript login Screen.

This script works but I need the errors like the user enter with a wrong
password.

Did jahia have a specific function to do login ? ( without using the
OpenJahiaWindow() script ).
