Hi,
Currently Jahia indexes on a per field basis. The
page used for the template declaration is the
page returned in the search result. Then you can
perfectly reuse in a template some existing
content objects (cf absolute addressing in Jahia)
or make any other kind of operations on your
content objects (e.g. remove all the last 5
letters for all big texts and small texts). As we
store in the search engine the fields stored in
the Jahia DB and we do not use Lucene as a web
crawler, content directly stored within the JSP
(hardcoded), content reused from another page or
content manipulated in the JSP is not returned.
Same is true for example with the page footer
which is only returned for the home page. But
would it be pertinent to return all the pages of
the site if you search a wrod which is located in
the page footer? But the pinciple is the same as
the page you are mentionning. So it should
certainly be something we need to (will) improve
in the future but that is not something easy to handle.
Cheers,
Stéphane
