no, it's not possible yet without lucene.
Perhaps something possible with hibernate integration in Jahia4.5.

ContainerFilterBean.

Hi Nicolas,

If you want to find "Nicolas" and enter "Nico" in the search box, for
Lucene to return you the correct result you have to type in "Nico*".
