First: I created the index from Jahia Clustering How-to documentation.
Second: I already run vaccumdb once a day.
Third: I already created the special index for the most used queries/tables

My DB and Jahia area on the same computer.
These are the options tha I use in catalina.sh:
JAVA_OPTS="-Dfile.encoding=ISO-8859-1 -Xms128M -Xmx512M -server
-XX:MaxHeapFreeRatio=70 -XX:MinHeapFreeRatio=40 -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC"
