Hi Federico, depending on the amount of files that are present on your site, Lucene may need quite some time to perform a full re-indexation, especially when indexing PDF files. Unfortunately with Jahia 4.0.x the server is unavailable during the full reindexation. With Jahia 4.1 indexing performance was greatly improved, and is also performed in background as to not interfere with the access to the site for the users. So upgrading to Jahia 4.1 would help in your situation If you want to re.index the site with your current version of Jahia, you should indeed remove the content of the search_indexes folder, re-launch the indexing (preferably during a week-end for instance) and wait until indexation is done. Michel Hi all, I am trying to solve a indexisation problem of the Lucene Serach engine in my Jahia Sites. Two day ago I discover that Lucene doesnt work, so I have run the site indexisation but after 10 hour the process was still active, so I have shutdown and restart my system. Now I have try to delete all files and folder under ../WEB-INF/var/search_indexes and run again the re-index process. This is my environment: Operative system: RedHat Linux Enterprise AS3 Jahia 4.0.7 SDK 1.4.2_11 DB MySql 4.0.21 Somebody have Idea how I can solve this problem? Thanks in advance. Federico. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Federico SOSTER IT department Gruppo Manfrotto srl Via Sasso Rosso, 19 36061 Bassano del Grappa (Vi) Italy Tel +39 0424 555854 Fax +39 0424 808999 mailto:[email protected] www.manfrotto.com Skype: fsoster __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This E-Mail is intended for the use of the addressee only, is confidential and may be the subject of legal privilege.
