Hi again, I have had no response to the problem below and if I can't get the site to import the files into webdav there's to much work to do it manually. I have tried to upgrade 4 times now and the webdav import fails everytime. I've tried everything I can think of and I'm no closer to a solution. Can you please at least tell me if you don't know what the problem is, so I can try to find another solution. Miles. ________________________________ From: Miles Tillinger [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, April 28, 2006 4:04 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Problem with WebDAV migration during upgrade from v3 to v4 I have followed all steps correctly to update from v3.14 to v4.0. I can start the site up and view all pages and I'm now ready to run the WebDAV migration via: engineName/filemanager/op/edit/pid/1?screen=migrate <http://localhost:8080/jahia/Jahia/engineName/filemanager/op/edit/pid/1? screen=migrate> However when I run that page I get the following error: <!-- Error : null Exception StackTrace: Cause level : 0 (level 0 is the most precise exception) java.lang.NullPointerException at org.jahia.services.webdav.DAVFileAccess$NamespaceHelper.<init>(DAVFileAc cess.java:1065) at org.jahia.services.webdav.DAVFileAccess.setNamespace(DAVFileAccess.java: 107) at org.jahia.services.webdav.DAVFileAccess.<init>(DAVFileAccess.java:90) at org.jahia.services.webdav.JahiaWebdavBaseService.getDAVFileAccess(JahiaW ebdavBaseService.java:47) at org.jahia.services.webdav.JahiaWebdavBaseService.migrate(JahiaWebdavBase Service.java:72) at org.jahia.engines.filemanager.DAVFilemanager_Engine.handleActions(DAVFil emanager_Engine.java:193) at org.jahia.operations.OperationManager.handleOperations(OperationManager. java:279) at org.jahia.bin.JahiaAction.execute(JahiaAction.java:50) at org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.processActionPerform(RequestPr ocessor.java:484) at org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.process(RequestProcessor.java: 274) at org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet.process(ActionServlet.java:1482) at org.jahia.bin.Jahia.process(Jahia.java:1441) at org.jahia.bin.Jahia.service(Jahia.java:766) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:809) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(Applica tionFilterChain.java:200) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilt erChain.java:146) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve.invoke(StandardWrapperValv e.java:209) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.i nvokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:596) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline.invoke(StandardPipeline.java:4 33) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.invoke(ContainerBase.java:948) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContextValve.invoke(StandardContextValv e.java:144) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.i nvokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:596) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline.invoke(StandardPipeline.java:4 33) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.invoke(ContainerBase.java:948) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.invoke(StandardContext.java:235 8) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHostValve.invoke(StandardHostValve.java :133) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.i nvokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:596) at org.apache.catalina.valves.ErrorDispatcherValve.invoke(ErrorDispatcherVa lve.java:118) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.i nvokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:594) at org.apache.catalina.valves.ErrorReportValve.invoke(ErrorReportValve.java :116) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.i nvokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:594) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline.invoke(StandardPipeline.java:4 33) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.invoke(ContainerBase.java:948) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngineValve.invoke(StandardEngineValve. java:127) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline$StandardPipelineValveContext.i nvokeNext(StandardPipeline.java:596) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardPipeline.invoke(StandardPipeline.java:4 33) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.invoke(ContainerBase.java:948) at org.apache.coyote.tomcat4.CoyoteAdapter.service(CoyoteAdapter.java:152) at org.apache.jk.server.JkCoyoteHandler.invoke(JkCoyoteHandler.java:300) at org.apache.jk.common.HandlerRequest.invoke(HandlerRequest.java:374) at org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket.invoke(ChannelSocket.java:743) at org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket.processConnection(ChannelSocket.java: 675) at org.apache.jk.common.SocketConnection.runIt(ChannelSocket.java:866) at org.apache.tomcat.util.threads.ThreadPool$ControlRunnable.run(ThreadPool .java:683) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:534) --> Any ideas? Ps. The only step I had to do slightly different was the step: "Your Jahia is now migrated, but the Tomcat which was packaged with your Jahia 3.1.4 is an older version (4.1.12 or 4.1.18) As Jahia 4.0 is packaged with Tomcat 4.1.27, you should replace the old version by this one." I had to use the latest stable version of Jahia as that's all I could find on your website. Regards, Miles.
