Hi,

Similar to the Windows File Explorer in the Jahia 
File Manager you have a "thumbnail view" which 
automatically generates thumbs when browsing the 
first time a directory with images. Else in the 
corpv2 set of templates, you have a template 
example of how you can generate as image gallery 
which automatically resize images stored on the 
directory selected by the editor. You can take a 
look at the source code in order to find the useful API if required.
