Strange. Just uploaded a ZIP file on the online 
demo (http://www.jahia.net/demo/Jahia/pid/1) and 
validated the page... and it works fine with my 
IE6.0 SP2: this correctly opens my Winrar application...

Have you tried with another ZIP file?
