Hi charles,

just edit the "jahia.properties" file (located in 
jahia/tomcat/webapps/jahia/WEB-INF/etc/config/ ) and modify the 
serverHomeDiskPath parameter to match the directory where you copied 
Jahia. If your developper used the embedded Hsql database, you will 
also need to modify the "db_url" parameter (also in jahia.properties) 
to match the correct path to the db file. If he used an thirs party 
db (mysql, postgres, etc ...), verify that you have access to it.
Make sure also that the .sh files in jahia/bin and jahia/tomcat/bin 
have execute rights.
