How to export a jahia site on a new machine.

Hi,
I have created a jahia 5.0 site with some portlets on my local machine. Now
I want to export it to another machine for demo.
How should I go about it? I checked out the xml import export feature but
looks like it can only export portions of the site and it also doesn't
export portlets.
Also checked the "Manage Distant Site for Auto Export" in administration but
couldn't understand what exactly it is for and whether it will fulfill my
needs.
