I wish I would have known that before, Thomas. I discovered that after a long day of trial and error. At the end, we moved our Jahia Users OU to be under the Company Users OU
OU=Company_Users
OU=Jahia_Users
OU=Region_Users
OU=Department_Users
...
I changed the users.ldap.property file users.ldap.public.bind.dn attribute to point to OU=Company_Users. Now Jahia can see all the users of my company.
I changed the users.ldap.uid.search.name attribute to OU=Jahia_Users,OU=Company_Users,... and now Jahia can only see users and groups under the Jahia OU (I hide all the company users), but I can assign users and groups from any of the Company_Users OUs to the Jahia OU.
Thanks all for your help.
-Juan

Hi Juan,
You can switch to any other OU as your base dn - it is not needed to
have a separate and specific tree - but you cannot have multiple
entries. The users will be looked up in the entire subtree.
