OK, then it is easy to fix for you:
have your hosting provider add the following line

127.0.0.1:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""

to the /var/qmail/control/smtp.tcp file,
and then refresh the smtp.cdb file  with

# qmail cdb

or

# qmailctl cdb

The above is part of the recommended configuration for qmail,
and I think they just must have forgotten to do it.  In any
event, SMTP auth for localhost doesn't make sense, as:
- whoever has local access has obviously the right credentials
- the unix id of the sender is still known with certitude

Alternatively you can switch to us ;-) as we know
how to accomodate Jahia...
