SQL2005 (even the Express edition -- See

definitely handles UTF8 much better than the 2000 edition. There should be
more info in MSDN.

Hi Lars/Ghislain,

MSSQL is not very UTF8 friendly, you can check this page from the microsoft
Kbase for more info : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/232580/EN-US/ .

Basically as I don't see any of the 5 "options" proposed by MS to be a real
option with Jahia, I'm afraid you will have to go with another DB if UTF8 is
a must-have.

Hi!

I'm using PostgreSQL 7.4.7.000 and when I create my DB instance I specify
that the encoding is UTF-8 for this DB instance with some option in command
line.

Perhaps is there the same options on MS SQLServer when you create your DB
instance with the wizards.

nvarchar(255) column. I also browsed the source code to find out what type
of checking that failed and it seems like it is a write followed by a select
and than an equal string test (some latin, cyrillic and chinese characters).
