problem with new fields in existing containerlist

Suppose I have a template with a containerlist of addresses (3 fields: =
name, street, city) and we define a 4th field (e.g. country)

If now we want to update one of the adress instances (edit popup) we =
can see the new field, we can assign a value to the new field, after =
clicking OK in the popup the new field with the new value appears on the =
corresponding page, but if we launch the edit popup once more, the new =
field contains the default value again.=20

Workaround: delete all address instances and add them again, but we =
can't tell this to the user if he has a page already containing 100 =
addresses.

Is this a known problem? Can it be fixed? Thx
