the drop-down menus are created automatically when you create a menu on a
given page.  on the simple template, for example, when you add left-nav menu
items, the drop-down menu will be populated.

After reading for a little while, it seems you have to code these or modify
the templates directly in order to create sub menus? Is this the case? Or
maybe I'm not looking in the right place. I've got the top level menus
setup, I just need to add the drop down menus.  Is there a document that
explains this process?
