Vivek, if you are using Windows AD, use the sAMAccountName instead (this
will allow you to use the firstname.lastname format).

On the properties file update the following lines:

users.ldap.uid.search.attribute           = sAMAccountName
users.ldap.username.attribute.map 		= sAMAccountName

Thanks!

Subject: ldap configuration

Hi

I am trying to do LDap configuration to allow users to use
"firstName.lastName" instead of existing "firstName lastName"
combination in the User Id.

I made changes in users.ldap.properties by changing "cn" to
"mailNickname" but it does not serve my purpose.

Can you suggest a possible way of achieving this?

Thanks

Vivek Verma
