So from everyone that responded, we're all good with moving to Java 1.6.
Should we do that with 2.0.4, or should we create a 2.1 branch to
migrate to Java 1.6? I would like to get to work on integrating
Alexander's GSOC project into our current code base, and his code
requires 1.5 at a minimum. This is one of my reasonings for moving our
current code base.

Andreas, should we remove 2.2 stuff from our site and move it away from
trunk?

Sounds like long term we want to move to Cocoon 3.
