I don't think the script should be changed if it makes the build hang. 
But maybe I misunderstand something or rather Rudolf can explain
in more detail what happened exactly. As mentioned before using 
something like Ant-Maven does work without problem (offline and online)
and I don't understand why the Lenya dev community is hesitant to 
introduce something like this, because it could save a lot of trouble 
and bandwidth ;-)
