yeah, as these conferences can be created, configured and destroyed on the 
fly i mean, if the end user could control this, creation of conferences on 
the fly, without bothering the telephone system administrator, would be

I think at least creating an appointment in the database, when a user 
creates a virtual conference room, should be easy. I'll put this on my to-do 
list.

oh, I just found out: with asterisk 1.4 it is already possible:
