This is a primary goal of the ScalableOGo (http:// 
www.scalableogo.org/) server. I've designed it to directly support  
native clients (ie it stores client provided iCal/vCard files as-is).

OGo is different, its more about advanced groupware functionality,  
less about building a 1:1 backend for CalDAV / GroupDAV.

PS: its rather obvious that you can't compare OGo with Digium, AFAIK  
they primarily sell hardware.
