Can't connect to DB

Two issues:
 
1)       I've gone through all of the installations steps, and have attempted to 
follow them to the letter.  When I open a browser and enter http://localhost/opengroupware(connect from another computer), I receive a message stating, "The SKYRIX 
application server could not connect to database server.  Check that that 
LSConnectionDictionary default is set correctly."
 
I've typed the line related to LSConnectionDictionary, and I've copied it 
and pasted it until I'm at my wit's end.  The message goes on to say my 
Database is ogo, my Server is localhost & my username is ogo.  That's what 
is in the 'Defaults' line I entered.  What am I missing?
 
2)       When I enter http://localhost/zidestore, I receive the page for the Skyrix Zidestore server listing the various 
functions.  When I click one, I get a SYRIX security popup asking for a 
uid & pwd.  I have no idea what to type here.  I've tried my local Linux 
accounts, root, ogo, & opengroupware?  I can't find where to add users. If 
I had to guess, I would assume it was in http://localhost/opengroupware, but see Item 1 if that's the case?.  Is there a manual that I can read 
or can someone help?
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated?  By the way, I'm not a Linux guru; 
so, please don't make any assumptions about settings that I should have 
known to set?
