Yes I completely agree. The cost of development is the real issue, but did not 
want to comment on that in a public list. There are two issues really.

1. Wrt to system software, as a Novell partner I/we have access to a 
collection of software that may or may not be helpful and certainly it can be 
made available to interested community developers via ssh if needed. This 
however eliminates on one hurdle. 

2. Wrt to porting activities, all our efforts to date (and will continue to 
be) solicitations of sponsors who have the pockets to complete such actions 
in accordance with their interests: ie: revenue generation. The tradeoff is 
of course a commercially developed port under a gpl license. That is clearly 
the target as it the only course that makes sense in the long run as its 
effecient and timely.
