OK, lets focus on that. (I still don't understand the point of 
Asterisk, except maybe for long distance calls, sorry ;-)

So xAP is the standard protocol for triggering the Asterisk PBX to dial 
a number?

Comparable to CSTA which (at least in Germany) is the protocol which 
can be used to do that for regular PBX?
If so, its probably rather trivial to write a CTI plugin for OGo which 
implements that protocol:

Unfortunately the websites on xAP are rather confusing ;-) Is that a 
binary protocol, does it go over TCP/IP, is it some XML protocol, HTTP, 
etc?
