(I still don't understand the point of > Asterisk, except maybe for long distance calls, sorry ;-) Voice mail. Asterisk can prove virtual extensions, and record voice mails for a user, encode them to mp3, and deliver them to a user's mailbox. Then the user can play their voice-mail via their e-mail client. I don't see why click-n-dial couldn't be build with the existing CTI support? Making the little phone icon appear next to phone numbers is easy enough, and looking up the clients source-IP in a PHP script and correlating that with a domain logon or workstation name should certainly be possible. We actually tried this with out Nortel BCM VOIP phone system - but it doesn't support any remotely open protocol for actually initiating the call from the extension. -- OpenGroupware.org Discussion [email protected] http://mail.opengroupware.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
