I'm 99% sure that this can be done with a regular PBX as well. On the 
other side I'm sure that Asterisk is much better prepared for computer 
integration things.

Well, as mentioned if the protocol used for creating a call isn't to 
weird, we could write a regular OGo CTI driver instead of using the 
"URL" hack.

Over here most PBX use something called CSTA, which is quite difficult 
to use. Which is why we use "STLI" in SKYRIX 5:
